The Infinity Saga

Twenty-three films, eleven years, one story nobody could have promised at the start. Release order is the only order that works, because the jokes, the cameos and the Thanos reveal are all built on what the audience did and did not know at the time.

Fourteen of the twenty-three have a review here. The other nine are listed anyway, in place, so the run reads as the run instead of as a list of the ones I got to.

5. Avengers: Age of Ultron2015. More stuff, somehow less movie.
6. Ant-Man2015. A heist film wearing a superhero suit.

Phase three

1. Captain America: Civil War2016. The Avengers film with Captain America’s name on it.
2. Doctor Strange2016. The origin story that bends the corridor rather than the character.
3. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 22017. Fathers, plural.
4. Spider-Man: Homecoming2017. The one that remembers he is fifteen.
5. Thor: Ragnarok2017. They finally worked out what Thor is for.
6. Black Panther2018. Killmonger is right, which is the whole problem.
7. Avengers: Infinity War2018. The one where the bad guy wins.
8. Ant-Man and the Wasp2018. No review yet.
9. Captain Marvel2019. No review, but there is a piece on what it was up against.
10. Avengers: Endgame2019. The end of a glorious journey.
11. Spider-Man: Far From Home2019. The epilogue, and the first look at what comes next.
