Legend of the Arch Magus (Books 1 & 2) from Audible is a good uncomplicated read (or listen) that will help pass the time especially if you’re looking for overpowered characters!
Three Dark Crowns is a great series if you need something to pass the time. Its not one however that I would recommend as the characters are not great and the ending was subpar.
If you’re a fan of LitRPG titles you could do a lot worse than the Dark Elf Chronicles and the Land of the Undying. Its a fun and fast read with characters that you care about both in and out of the game.
With the Watchmen, for example, I hadn’t seen the original movie and while I’m about 1/2 way through the series, I’ve yet to finish it. I’ve done better this time…
