Sarah Jane Smith walks back into the Doctor’s life in School Reunion, and it’s the most emotional hour Doctor Who has given me since it came back.

Tooth and Claw drops the Tenth Doctor and Rose into 1879 Scotland with a werewolf, Queen Victoria, and the birth of a very familiar institute.
New Earth kicks off Series 2 with cat-nuns, a plague farm, and the return of Cassandra as the Tenth Doctor and Rose take their first real trip together.
David Tennant’s Tenth Doctor sleeps through most of his own debut in The Christmas Invasion, while the Sycorax menace Earth and a satsuma decides its fate.
My own Season 1 celebration: Eccleston’s Ninth Doctor, the Slitheen, Dalek, and a finale I was not ready for.
The Ninth Doctor refuses to fire the delta wave, Rose becomes the Bad Wolf, and Doctor Who says goodbye to Eccleston in The Parting of the Ways.
Bad Wolf drops the Doctor, Rose and Jack into deadly reality TV on the Game Station, and one of the season’s biggest mysteries finally pays off.
Boom Town looks like a filler episode, but the dinner scene between the Doctor and Margaret Blaine is one of Series 1’s best moral gut-punches.
The Doctor Dances reveals what Jack’s ambulance really is, why Nancy’s hiding the truth, and how everybody actually lives.
A gas-masked child roams Blitz-era London asking “Are you my mummy?” in Doctor Who’s The Empty Child, the scariest hour yet.

World War Three review. The Slitheen hold Downing Street, and the Doctor has Mickey fire a missile at the building while he and Rose are still inside.
Aliens of London review. A ship hits Big Ben, Rose learns she has been gone twelve months not twelve hours, and the first alien we meet is a pig.
The Unquiet Dead sends the Doctor and Rose to Cardiff in 1869, where the dead walk and the Doctor argues the Gelth should be allowed to use them.

My Resident Evil Apocalypse review: characters lifted straight from the games, bigger action, a superhero Alice, and a solid 5 out of 5 from me.
Spider-Man 2 review. Molina turns Doc Ock into a man overruled by his own machine, the train scene is iconic, and Peter walks away from the job.
Spider-Man review. Raimi puts the wrestling ring and Uncle Ben on screen exactly as the comics did, and Dafoe is magnificent. The leads are too old.
